Rob Parker not returning to ESPN/speaks out on RGIII

ESPN will not be renewing Rob Parker's contract which expired at years end, mainly because of the backlash he received from his RGIII comments on ESPN'S First Take. Rob Parker finally spoke out to WDIV-TV in Detroit and said "it was just a conversation that's had in the black communities when athletes or entertainers or whatever push away from their people. That's what it's about, the whole thing is, and I want to make this clear, i wasn't saying he isn't black enough. When people say that it's just not true. I was saying these are conversations that takes place once a guy pushes away. It was never aimed at him, nor was I calling him that." Parker also said "it was never to condemn the young man, RGIII is a great young man with a bright future." He also said before the segment he and ESPN spoke about what he would say and it was understood the idea of where the conversation was coming from and it wasn't meant to slam RGIII or be malicious. I personally saw the episode of First Take when Rob Parker said what he said and he in NO way said those things in a way where I thought it was coming from him personally. He clearly stated that this is the topic of discussion in barber shops in the black neighborhoods. It's a shame he lost his job over speaking the truth, he was great at his job....One time for Rob Parker....should Rob have been fired??? NO WAY NO HOW!!!!
