Lakers Without Kobe???? pic of ankle inside

With 2.6 seconds left on the game clock @KobeBryant went down hurt and in pain after Donhtay Jones STUCK his leg under him as he came back down from taking the possible game tying shot to even the game up at 94. Kobe rolled his ankle on the back of Jones foot and it doesn't look good. After the game the lakers officials said Kobe is out indefinitely with a severe ankle sprain and from the looks of it, it is severe. Kobe has yet to miss a game this season and I think he could use the rest. The Lakers upcoming schedule is soft enough to where The Lakers can hold off Utah for the 8th and final playoff spot in which they only hold a 1/2 game lead on with the exception of Indiana on Friday night. Out of the next 4 games the Lakers play only 1 team with a winning record (Pacers) and then Sunday back in Staples against The Kings (23-43), Monday in Phoenix (22-43) and on March 22nd they play @ home against the Washington Wizards (21-42). If the Black Mamba missed any games I'd prefer it be during this stretch. The Lakers should win 3 out of 4 of these games and with Pau Gasol set to return next week, The Lake Show will be fine.

The Knicks Injuries/Tough Schedule

Carmelo Anthony is on his way back to the big apple to have his right knee examined...AGAIN! Melo only scored a whopping 9pts on 12 shots (3-12) with 5 rebounds and 3 TO's in his first game in Denver since the trade to New York. He left the game in the third quarter as the Knicks where beat down by The Denver Nuggets in a 117-94 loss. Carmelo said "it started tightening up, started stiffening up. Some movements that I couldn't make, moving laterally, felt like I didn't have no pop, no power, I tried it in the second half coming out after halftime and i couldn't move. I'm going to get it (knee) drained, get the fluid out, get to the bottom of it quick so I can get back on the court." Carmelo thinks he pushed himself a little too hard to get back and play saying "I was being naive to myself, trying to psyche myself out, 'I can do it, I can do it'." Coach Woodson spoke on Melo injury saying "I kind of rolled with what he was thinking, he wanted to play and we wanted to play him. In the third quarter he had to pull out. Melo doesn't pull out of very many games. Obviously, it's bothering him. We're going to send him back to be evaluated." Tyson Chandler also went down with a knee injury in Denver when he bumped knees with G Corey Brewer. He was helped off by teammates and the team is calling the injury a contusion of his left knee. If there is anything good that came from lastnights injury to Tyson is that Tyson suffered a bone bruise on the same knee in The Knicks last preseason game but played in the season opener and hasn't missed a game this season. Tyson Chandler is list as probable for Friday's game against Portland. One of The Knicks goals coming into lastnight was to slow down the up tempo style of play The Nuggets run...#EPICFAIL! Denver had 20 fastbreak points and 22 points off Knicks turnovers. Denver also outscored New York in the paint 62-24 and outrebounded them by 20 (53-33). One of the only bright spots was Iman Shumpert, who scored 20pts. Iman went 8-10 from the field and hit 4 out of 5 3pointers he attempted. Coming down the stretch it doesn't get any easier for New York with MANY TOUGH games, tough games on the road and at home. @Clippers @Raptors (who beat NY this season already) @Boston @Miami @Atlanta @Thunder @Bulls and @Cleveland (beat NY this season as well). @ Home against the Raptors, Memphis, Boston, Hawks, Bucks and Indiana. With Amare out, Melo out and Tyson questionable (ALL WITH KNEE INJURIES) The Knicks road to catch The Pacers and stay above Brooklyn in the east becomes even harder with that scedule. The Knicks need to find some heart for this tough stretch or we are looking at another first round exit.

Cliff Avril headed to the northwest

According to Adam Schefter The Seattle Seahawks and DE Cliff Avril agree to a 2-yr deal.

Danny Amendola agrees to terms with Patriots

Lose one receiver, in comes a new one! After Wes Welker signs a 2-yr/$12 million deal with The Denver Broncos, The New England Patriots have already found a replacement, Danny Amendola. The two sides agree to a 5-yr deal worth $31 million with $10mil guaranteed. Amendola had 63 receptions and 666 yards and 11 touchdowns last season for The St. Louis Rams.

Bernard Pollard out in Baltimore

Another one bites the dust in Baltimore. The Ravens have parted ways with hard hitting and top tackler Bernard Pollard and his $2 million salary. Bernard took to his twitter to break the news to his fans saying "Well Ravens Nation it's been fun, my time in Baltimore is done, Thank You." I'm guessing this is a salary move to keep Ed Reed in a Ravens uniform, but for Pollard I'm sure he will not be out of work long, this is a tackling machine and a very HARD HITTER!

Reggie Bush headed to MoTown

Former Miami Dolphins RB Reggie Bush signs a 4-yr deal with Detroit Lions. This is becoming a very high powered offense with Calvin "MEGATRON" Johnson and Matthew Stafford already in town. This should put Matthew Stafford in a situation where he must get his team to the playoffs and contend with Green Bay for the NFC North title. Reggie Bush had over 2,000yds rushing in his 2 seasons with the Miami Dolphins and has proven that he can be a "between the tackles" running back. We already know what he can do in space and is a great receiver out the back field.

Wes Welker Headed West???????!!!!!!!!!

According to The NFL Network, Wes Welker and the Denver Broncos are close to a deal to make Peyton Manning a very happy man! If Wes joins Peyton in Denver along with Decker and Thomas, this puts The Broncos in the AFC championship game is you ask me. All the Broncos would have to do is sure up that running game and depending on what they do there, this could be a team playing in the super bowl in 2014.

Shonn Greene signs with Titans

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter former Jets RB Shonn Greene signs a 3-yr/$10mil deal with the Tennessee Titans.

Dunta Robinson moves to Kansas City

Former Atlanta Falcons CB Dunta Robinson signs a 3-yr deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Earlier this month Dunta was a cap room casualty being released by the Falcons only 3 years into a 6-yr/$57mil deal. The Falcons were allowed to slash $9mil off the books for next season.

Ray Lewis officially apart of ESPN Family

Two-time defensive player of the year Ray Lewis is officially apart of the ESPN family after a 17 year career with 2013 Superbowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. He will have a significant roll on Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown as well as ESPN Radio.

The Miami Dolphins Free Agency Moves

The Miami Dolphins are showing their fans that they plan on challenging the New England Patriots for the AFC East! Signing Deep threat WR Mike Wallace to a 5-yr/$60 deal ($30mil guaranteed) and the biggest move so far in this years free agency frenzy, the Dolphins sign former Ravens LB Dannell Ellerbe to a 5-yr/$35 deal. They did lose Reggie Bush to the Detriot Lions but making it up with 2 major addictions to their organization.

Dashon Goldson signs with Tampa

Two-time pro bowler Safety Dashon Goldson has decided to leave the 49ers after 6 seasons to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signing a 5-yr deal worth $41.25 million, Ian Rapoport reports.

The Baltimore Ravens

I'm not sure what The Baltimore Ravens are doing so far in this free agency period so far. The only player that they seem to really care to take care of is Regular Joe Flacco. Ozzie Newsome usually knows what he's doing when it comes to his roster but I must say over the last 48 hours he's had me scratching my head. Trading big time receiver Anquan Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers for a piece of bubble gum (6th round pick), letting Dannell Ellerbe slip from their grasp by allowing him to sign with the Miami Dolphins, Paul Kruger signing with division rival Cleveland and releasing hard hitting Bernard Pollard and it seems they will part ways with arguably the best free safety in NFL history in Ed Reed. With Ray Lewis apart of the ESPN family and has retired things are looking "not so good" for #RavenNation. On top of all that, they have made Joe Flacco the richest player in NFL history with a 6-yr/$120, $52mil in guarantees witch is about right considering he just won a superbowl with a the greatest touchdown to interception ratio since Joe Montana (11-0) but what team will be around him? I'm thinking not a repeat able team, maybe not even a playoff team at this point.
