Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back Chris Rainey was released today by the team because of an arrest stemming from a spat he had with his girlfriend. According to TMZ, Rainey's girlfriend swiped at his phone and he slapped her, in Gainesville, FL early this morning. Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert says "Chris Rainey's actions this morning were extremely disappointing. Under the circumstances and due to this conduct, Chris will no longer be apart of the team." Chris is still in custody and is being charged with battery in this situation.
